Terms & Conditions
- We really do value your custom and so would ask you to read the information below.
- De register - if you no longer wish to receive emails and information from us please contact us and we will remove your details from our records.
- Prices – all prices are in £ sterling and include VAT where applicable.
- Delivery - We can only accept orders and delivery to addresses within the UK and there will be a supplement for deliveries to UK Offshore Islands. Please make sure we have a delivery address where you or someone else you instruct will be able to sign for receipt of your order. If you prefer we can deliver to you at work. We will not accept responsibility if the carrier has to leave the goods on your doorstep.
- Cancellations & returns – orders can be cancelled, by e mail, telephone or post, as soon as possible from date of ordering. If the goods have been dispatched by us, cancellation will only occur on receipt by us of the returned goods in their original packaging. All returns to us are at your expense. No cancellations will be accepted if made later than 7 working days after receipt of the goods by you. In the event of cancellation and in accordance with these terms a full refund will be made. In the event of cancellation after the goods have been dispatched by us the refund will only be made on receipt by us of the returned goods less any return carriage charges not paid by you.
- Damaged goods - If you have cause for complaint please do get in touch with us before returning goods. We would advise customers to open boxes and check them as soon as possible. Return costs are not prepaid. Postage or other returns costs will be the customer’s responsibility and will be reimbursed by us only in the case of goods being inedible or broken and damaged in transit. - Payment – is to be made in £ Sterling only and by means of credit or debit card prior to dispatch, subject to the card issuers authority or by means of cleared cheque prior to dispatch. All prices, where relevant are inclusive of VAT.
- Availability - We will do our best to fulfill all orders but in exceptional cases, such as when supplies are temporarily out of stock we will contact you to suggest an alternative item or let you know the time delay.
- Intellectual property - all rights including without limitation copyright, design and trademark rights in the website are owned by Gillies Fine Foods Ltd.
- Changes - we reserve the right to change, modify, substitute or remove without notice, any information from this site from time to time.
- Force Majeure – No liability will be accepted by Gillies Fine Foods Ltd for any failure or delay in performance which is wholly or partially due to Acts of God, War, Fire, Explosion, Riot or Civil Commotion, Restriction by Government or other competent authority, Strikes, Lock outs, Failure in supplies or to any cause whatsoever beyond the control of the seller.
